What Does It Mean To Be a Cross-border Seller?
When you sign up to be a Shopee seller, you can only sign up in each market where you live. For example, if you are from the Philippines, you can sign up for Shopee PH, and if you are from Singapore, you can sign up as a seller for Shopee SG.
But even if you go to Shopee for our own buying needs, we noticed that some products have to be shipped overseas.
Sellers from one region who can sell their products from any Shopee supported country are called Shopee cross-border sellers.
This means that if you are a Shopee seller from China, potential buyers from the Philippines or Indonesia can order your products.
Lazada has its own version of the cross-border seller program. On their platform, they call it Lazada Global Sellers. Meanwhile, Shopee calls it Shopee International Platform.
The Shopee International Platform (SIP)
SIP is Shopee's own cross-border program that allows sellers to do the following:
- Expand consumer reach
- Free logistics and customer service arrangements
- Expand overseas business without extra effort or cost
Choosing "Seller Managed" means that when you receive an order, you will arrange for the product to be shipped to Shopee's warehouse. Choosing the "Shopee Managed" model means that Shopee personnel will pick up the package and then ship it to the customer. It takes 7 to 14 days for the package to be successfully delivered.

Here are some points to help you make the most of your SIP program experience:
- Product names and product descriptions should be written in English
- Make sure product weights are accurate and updated
- Make sure SIP_shopee_agent and business transactions are not blocked on your email and Shopee messaging functions. (The first is the Shopee customer service team, they will contact you if there is a problem with your order. The second is the SIP buyer account)
